The RCN Foundation team came to discuss the Entitledto affordability calculator to look to integrate a version within their grant awarding process. Entitledto and the RCN Foundation worked together to customise the affordability calculator to provide income maximisation and recognise expenditure to guide the grant awarding process and embed the affordability calculator into the RCN Foundation’s system for a seamless user experience.
The RCN Foundation team is now seeing a clearer picture of individual circumstances and finances. This is enabling complete confidence in decisions and the knowledge that applicants are being treated fairly. Rather than an automatic rejection when criteria is not met, the affordability calculator quickly highlights and signposts for unsuccessful applicants to be directed to other support. An extra benefit is that applicants are getting a positive experience through the grant journey.
They can complete the online assessment at a time and manner that works best for them. While most applicants are moving easily through the process, the tool highlights where applicants can supply details to team so that more support from the RCN Foundation can be provided.
By maximising benefit income during the grant process, the RCN Foundation are supporting applicants to ensure they have the right journey for them and can provide the grant support to successful applicants.
