In conversation with Christie Watson
On Wednesday 11 November 2020, bestselling author and RCN Foundation Patron Christie Watson joined Deepa Korea, RCN Foundation director for a fascinating live webinar.
Christie answered your questions and shared her own experiences of the nursing profession.
Christie’s first novel, The Language of Kindness, was a number one Sunday Times bestseller and is currently being adapted for theatre and television. She is Professor of Medical and health Humanities at the University of East Anglia.
Her latest book, The Courage to Care, reveals the remarkable extent of nurses’ work and how we benefit from their expertise in hospitals and beyond; in our schools, on our streets, in prisons, hospices and care homes.
You will have the opportunity to put forward your own questions to Christie both ahead of and during the virtual event as she talks about the experience of writing The Courage to Care, her own nursing career, and why nursing has never been more important than it is today.
