The RCN Foundation is recruiting for an External Adviser to join its Governance and Nominations Committee
Who we are
The RCN Foundation is a UK wide independent charity and grant-maker supporting nurses, midwives and healthcare support workers. We are part of the RCN Group, but our beneficiaries do not need to be a member of the Royal College of Nursing to receive support from us. The charity’s purpose is to support and strengthen nursing and midwifery to improve the health and wellbeing of the public.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to supporting and strengthening nursing and midwifery and shaping the UK’s healthcare landscape. We are looking for an outstanding individual who can help us to strengthen our charity governance knowledge on our Governance and Nominations Committee. You will bring energy, passion and drive to the role, and have a desire to make a real difference to our work and through that, our beneficiaries.
Who we are looking for?
We are seeking an experienced individual to join our Governance and Nominations Committee as an External Adviser. The Governance and Nominations Committee oversees the Foundation’s governance arrangements, including recruitment and appointment of Trustees and External Adviser as well as the Vice Chair and Committee Chair elections.
We are particularly keen to recruit an individual with a background in charity governance.
