Another successful Congress for the RCN Foundation.
The Foundation had another fantastic year at Congress in Liverpool. We received lots of interest on the RCN Foundation stand, particularly from those looking to apply for an education grant from the Foundation. Our new hints and tips document for making a successful application was a particular success!
We also held a joint fringe meeting with the RCN’s Learning Disability Forum on how the nursing team can better support prisoners with learning disabilities. Jenny Talbot of the Prison Reform Trust spoke at the event. The Foundation’s new Chair, Jane Cummings, and the Foundation Director, Deepa Korea, took to the Congress main stage to highlight the work and impact of our work over the past year. We also showed our new film for the first time.
All in all, it was another successful Congress for the Foundation, with increased interest in and support for, our work.
