New Trustees and Advisers appointed by the RCN Foundation

The RCN Foundation has appointed four new Trustees to its Board and six new Advisers to its Committees. The Trustees and Advisers come from a wide range of backgrounds and include a Director of Nursing for a Health Board in Wales, the Deputy Chief Executive of Health Improvement Scotland, the Deputy Chief Executive of the charity Home-Start UK, and the Director of Fundraising and Communications of the charity Changing Faces.

The new Trustees are Jane Cantrell, Catherin Deakin, Gregory Dix and Anthony Osijo. The new Advisers are Victoria Bennett, Ann Gow, Alison Hoad, Dawn Jackson, Mickella Lewis-Purvis and Vivien Waterfield. They will take up their roles in the autumn.

Professor Jane Cummings, Chair of the RCN Foundation said:

“The new Trustees and Advisers who will be joining our Board and Committees bring a wealth of skills, experience and expertise from a wide range of backgrounds including strategic finance, nursing and midwifery, and fundraising, marketing and communication.

I am delighted that we have such high calibre Trustees and Advisers joining the RCN Foundation. The past eighteen months have been hugely challenging for everyone. Yet they have also shone a light on the incredible contribution that frontline nursing and midwifery staff, and indeed all health and care staff, have made in tackling the pandemic. Our newly strengthened Board and Committees will ensure that we are well placed to achieve our ambitions to make a positive difference to nursing and patient care, both now and in the future.”
