RCN UK HQ | £59,877
At the RCN Foundation, we are committed to supporting, strengthening and championing the nursing profession to improve the health and wellbeing of the public. As a charity and grant-maker, we do this by funding research and projects, as well as education and hardship, which support nursing professionals to innovate, progress their careers and get through tough times.
This new role has been created to help realise our vision as set out in our Strategy 2020 document.
We are seeking an innovative and inspirational Head of Grants and Impact to oversee, manage and deliver a grant-giving portfolio of around 1 million GBP per annum. Our grant-making covers hardship, education, innovation, and research and practice development projects. Demonstrating the impact of our grant-making on nursing, patient care, and healthcare more generally will be a key element of this role.
Reporting to the RCN Foundation Director, you will be responsible for providing the strategic and operational oversight of the grant-making function for the RCN Foundation. Using their knowledge, experience and expertise in nursing policy and practice, you will identify key trends in nursing, and health and social care, ensuring that the Foundation is well placed to harness opportunities and meet challenges.
