Thanks for stopping by our brand new website.
We hope you like what you see! As you may know, the RCN Foundation is a charity and grant-giver committed to supporting and strengthening nursing to improve the health and wellbeing of the public. We hope our new website reflects the range of grants we offer, the amazing projects we have funded and are currently funding, as well as all of the ways our supporters can get involved.
We have boosted the clinical expertise and career prospects of many hundreds of nursing staff by providing grants and bursaries for educational opportunities which might otherwise not have been available to them. Just last year alone, we had over 500 people apply for an RCN Foundation education grant. An aim with our new website was to move applications from paper to online. It was really important our new website was designed with our grant applicants in mind, and that we developed a clear, accessible and user-friendly way for applicants to apply through our website. Check out our education grants page for all of the information on what we offer, and to apply for a grant. The next round opens on 16 August!
In addition to education grants, we have supported nurses facing domestic violence or mental health problems, and those in need of financial assistance. Our hardship fund is there for nurses, midwives, and nursing support workers when they need it most. Learn more about our hardship funding, in partnership with Lamplight Support service.
Lastly, we have supported excellence and innovation in health care by funding nursing led research and clinical practice projects that have tackled some of the most pressing health issues facing society today. Read more about our past funded projects and be sure to see our current funding call to get an idea of what’s on the horizon for the RCN Foundation.
We hope you enjoy the new website, and take advantage of all of the ways you can get involved with the Foundation.
