A grant of £185,324 was awarded to UCLPartners for a quality improvement project to test and learn about the implementation and use of the ReSPECT process in different settings in London including three care homes.

ReSPECT (Recommended Summary Plan for Emergency Care and Treatment) is a process that creates personalised recommendations for a person’s clinical care in a future emergency in which they are unable to make or express choices. Currently, there is no unified process for EOLC in London which is valid across different care settings. This project tested the effectiveness of the ReSPECT process and associated educational materials in London.
