A growing number of nurses work in older care, often in isolated situations with little access to learning and career development.

Despite these challenges, care home nurses are responding to their experiences with dedication and creativity, setting new standards of best practice patient care.

The care home sector has been a priority for the RCN Foundation since 2013. To support care home nurses in their work and to enhance patient care, the RCN Foundation has funded a range of profile-raising activities that contribute to understanding of this key sector.
